High-level competitions to kick off in Yunyan

The 2026 National Roller Skating (Speed Skating) Open (Guiyang) and the 2026 Asian Speed Track Series Regulation (Guiyang) will be held in Guiyang's Yunyan district from July 18 to 19 and July 24 to 26, respectively. 

The 2026 National Roller Skating Open will feature 42 teams consisting of 319 athletes from across China. A Guiyang speed skating invitational tournament will be held alongside the event.

As of July 14, a total of 37 teams from multiple Asian countries, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan of China, had registered for the Asian Speed Track Series Regulation. The tournament will boost sports exchanges across the Taiwan Strait and throughout Asia.

Yunyan has built a market themed on Guizhou local customs. Partnering with 32 high-quality merchants to set up distinctive stalls, the market features a diverse array of products, including local delicacies from inside and outside Guizhou, exquisite cultural and creative goods, and trendy sports merchandise.

Yunyan has launched special experience routes tailored to athletes, entourage members, and tourists. It will also work with Cross Cinema to launch exclusive ticket perks for athletes during the events. Competitors can enjoy discounted movie tickets by presenting their event credentials.

These targeted measures will boost cultural and tourism consumption, revitalize business districts, and polish Yunyan's distinctive brand combining culture, commerce, sports, and tourism.
