As of Sept 18, Guiyang Port has recorded a total of 202,000 inbound and outbound travelers this year, marking a year-on-year surge of 194.5 percent. The increase reflects both Guizhou's expanding openness and the steady release of outbound and inbound travel demand, supported by a series of streamlined border policies.

Among the total, 126,000 Chinese mainland residents, 33,000 visitors from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and 44,000 foreign nationals passed through Guiyang Port. Notably, foreign entries grew by 306.7 percent, with over one-third benefiting from visa exemption and transit visa-free policies. International flights also surged, with 2,040 arrivals and departures, up 172 percent from last year.

Guiyang has opened 12 new international passenger routes and three cargo routes this year, covering Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. Popular destinations for Chinese mainland travelers include Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, and Malaysia, accounting for 59.03 percent of outbound trips. Travel purposes range from business and family visits to tourism and study exchanges.

To further improve services, Guizhou immigration authorities have introduced nine convenience measures, including pre-arrival clearance reservations, dedicated fast-track channels, and expanded self-service biometric facilities for international travelers. Enhanced monitoring and 24/7 consultation services ensure smoother passenger flows even during peak periods, strengthening Guiyang's role as a growing hub for international exchange.
