On Sep 3, Guizhou Civil Aviation Industry Group announced that 9Air, a low-budget airline, has increased the frequency of flights along the Guiyang-Kuala Lumpur route from one to three per week, which will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The first day of the expanded service saw 97 passengers on the outbound flight and 186 passengers on the return, with a return seat occupancy rate reaching 99 percent. This strong performance reflects growing market demand and a steady recovery of the inbound tourism sector.

As a major city in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, Guiyang is becoming an important air hub in Southwest China, connecting to Southeast Asia under the Belt and Road Initiative and China-ASEAN tourism cooperation framework.
The added flights will further facilitate convenient travel while boosting economic, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Guizhou and Malaysia, injecting fresh momentum into regional high-quality development.
