Taiping Road in Yunyan district, famous for its snacks, has integrated diverse business formats with local culture, breathing new life into the old street and turning it into a landmark of Guiyang's night economy.

To date, it has gathered nearly 200 specialty stores and over 100 types of snacks from both inside and outside Guizhou province.

During this year's National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from Oct 1 to 8, the overall visitor flow was 200 percent higher than usual.

A restaurant owner said, "Since the holiday, we have received more than 600 guests every day, with a daily turnover of over 10,000 yuan ($1,404), and potatoes are the most popular."

"More than 300 cups are produced daily, and 60 percent are from customers out of town," said Wang Yubo, manager of Captain George Cafe, "Customers from Shanghai came specifically for our champion coffee, so we cannot let them down."
