Yunyan district extends bus line to facilitate community residents

Yunyan district recently extended the minibus line V15 to make local travel easier.

The Beidi community in Touqiao subdistrict is in a remote location in the district, making public transport very inconvenient. A nearby bus stop has been the biggest wish among residents in the community for over a decade.

The community Party branch has joined forces with multiple departments to promote the extension of the minibus line V15, connecting the "last kilometer" to give locals better access to public transit.

Mao Yong, secretary of the Beidi community Party branch, said, "By chance, I learned that some bus companies have a type of small bus that can enter and exit our community, which has poorly maintained roads. I contacted Qianshuang Urban Public Transport Co and invited company professionals to conduct on-site inspections. After confirming that the entrance of Beidi community meets criteria for an extended bus stop, I immediately joined forces with relevant departments such as property management to carry out the extension of minibus V15."

"Before, we had to walk for more than 20 minutes to Songhua South Road or Zunyi Middle Road to get to the nearest bus stop," said Ms. Luo, a resident who lives in Beidi community. "Now that the minibus V15 has been extended, it is much more convenient for everyone."

Mao said that Beidi community will continue to collect public feedback through multiple online and offline channels, identify prominent problems, and develop practical measures to solve grassroots difficulties through practical and effective measures.
