Yunyan district holds special reading event

In celebration of the 30th World Book and Copyright Day, the Yunyan District Library in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a special reading event on April 20.

The event integrated traditional craftsmanship, parent-child reading, and creative interaction, attracting hundreds of culture-lovers through activities such as "story painting", "spring challenge", and a handmade lacquer fan experience.

The event also set up an incentive mechanism, allowing readers to collect points by completing different activities and use them to redeem gifts.

Miss Wang finished all the challenges with her child, saying the event was an immersive cultural decoding game, and this form of educational and entertaining activity allows children to truly experience the charm of Chinese heritage. 

A representative of the library expressed hope that World Book and Copyright Day will help to make reading an integral part of the lives of people across the nation.
