Tourism boom in Yunyan during Qingming Festival holiday

Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, reported robust performance during the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6. The district welcomed approximately 913,800 visits, marking a 10 percent year-on-year increase. Total tourism revenue reached 719 million yuan ($98.28 million), up 9.23 percent.

Qianlingshan Park, dubbed the "No 1 Mountain in Southern Guizhou", topped the city's attractions with around 158,800 visits over the holiday.

Ma Ting, a tourist from Sichuan, shared her itinerary: "I watched Ne Zha 2 again at the IMAX-GT hall in Yuejie Cinema and explored Qianling Mountain's urban park ecology. I've tried local dishes like spicy potato cakes, siwawa, and sour beef soup, and I plan to have bean rice hotpot before heading back."

Yuejie Cinema gained national attention. As of the Qingming Festival, its annual box office has surpassed 20 million yuan, ranking first in China. The cinema offers discounts and free admission to nearby attractions for Ne Zha 2 ticket holders, integrating film and tourism to boost the cultural travel economy.
