In 2024, Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, focused on creating 15-minute living circles by improving public services such as education, healthcare, culture, and transportation. The district has completed 67 planned projects, achieving a 100 percent completion rate.
At the Yuyan Sub-district Elderly Care Service Center, senior residents enjoy spacious activity areas, professional rehabilitation therapy, and nutritious meals. As one of the first 16 elderly service centers in Guiyang, the facility has provided nearly 350,000 services over the past eight years.
Shahejie Public Parking, one of Yunyan's key infrastructure projects, aims to ease parking congestion near the Affiliated Hospital of Guiyang Medical University and old residential areas. At 83.8 meters tall, it is the highest intelligent parking facility in China. It offers 906 parking spaces and a smart mechanical system that increases parking capacity by 400 percent.
In Bageyan sub-district, the renovation of Yinghua Lane has transformed an aging community into a vibrant neighborhood with new asphalt roads, cultural murals, solar streetlights, and modern security systems. The project benefits 478 households and significantly enhances their quality of life.
Yunyan will continue to upgrade public services to improve residents' living standards.
