The Yunyan Economic Development Zone in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently approved as a provincial-level development zone, marking a significant milestone in the region's industrial growth. This move provides a major boost to the zone's high-quality development.
The zone is the main engine of the district's industrial economy and an example of its exploration of industrial development.
In recent years, the Yunyan Economic Development Zone has adhered to high standards in planning and development. Its total development area is 7.12 square kilometers, with the Yunyan Industrial Park covering 6.22 sq km and the Xiaoguan Park occupying 0.9 sq km.
The zone's key projects include a large-scale suburban warehouse base, a new industrial trade park, ecological infrastructure, and an integrated solar energy-storage-charging project. These initiatives aim to accelerate industrial clustering and development.
Currently, 360,000 square meters of standard factories are in operation, and an additional 270,000 sq m are under construction. A new provincial-level sewage treatment plant, capable of processing 12,000 metric tons of wastewater per day, is also nearing completion.
Alongside industrial development, the zone has prioritized living amenities, including schools, hospitals, talent apartments, dormitories, dining halls, sports facilities, and commercial services. These integrated services create a modern, vibrant community that blends work, life, and culture.
The zone plans to deepen reforms and enhance its role as a leader in advanced manufacturing, open economic development, and administrative efficiency. These efforts are poised to inject fresh momentum into the region's high-quality growth.
