Yunyan organizes vibrant activities for science and technology week

The science and technology bureau of Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has carried out a series of activities in celebration of the National Science and Technology Week and the National Science and Technology Workers Day.

On May 27, the bureau held a launch ceremony for the week and an innovation and entrepreneurship competition at the Guizhou Academy of Sciences, during which six project teams from universities and enterprises within the province conducted project roadshows.

A science popularization mobile van drove into Qianling village in Yunyan on May 28, using onboard exhibits to allow villagers to experience the charm of science up close through displays, experiences, and interactive activities.

On May 29, the bureau organized a science and technology policy lecture. The event systematically reviewed technology-benefiting enterprise policies, technology-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises, and research and development expense deductions, enhancing enterprises' understanding of technology policies.

Also, On May 30 and June 3, science popularization activities were held at Dongxin Primary School and Guiyang No 42 Middle School, respectively. Teachers from the College of Big Data and Information Engineering at Guizhou University were invited to teach students about artificial intelligence and big data science.
