With more and more government-funded educational facilities being built, parents of school-aged children in Yunyan district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, are finding it easier to send their children to school, thanks to local efforts to address the people's increasing demand for schooling, local media reported.

In 2022, the district managed to increase student capacity by 2,790 by constructing more facilities.

Efforts are still being made to build even more educational facilities. According to the district's plan, primary and secondary school enrollment capacity will increase by 1,620 students while kindergarten enrollment capacity will increase by 320 students by 2023.
