This marked the point where the students of the private Fenghang School were transferred to the public school to enjoy better educational resources.

The Fenghang School currently has more than 200 middle school students and more than 800 primary school students – and these students have all been transferred to the Guiyang Yeya Primary School and the Yeya Middle School this semester.

It is understood that the teachers of Fenghang School will be dispatched to give priority to teaching in the public schools, where they will enjoy more secure treatment.

The Fenghang School is the second school to be closed in Yunyan. It is expected that by July this year, Yunyan will close 37 private schools within its jurisdiction.

By the start of the fall semester in September, public schools will be the mainstay for students after completing their compulsory education stage within Yunyan's jurisdiction. Moving forwards, the proportion of private students in the compulsory education stage in the district will not exceed 9 percent.
