Yunyan adds 11 public kindergartens in new semester

In the fall semester of 2021, 10 public kindergartens opened and one was renovated and expanded in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, according to the district's education bureau.

All 11 kindergartens in the district have officially opened, increasing student enrollment capacity by 3,000.

A total of more than 2,100 children aged 3-5 were enrolled, alleviating the area's shortage of kindergartens.

Improving pre-school education is one of 10 key tasks of the district's education bureau and government during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25).

Yunyan has long been improving the quality of pre-school education, increasing pre-school education development and financial investment, and gradually increasing the coverage of public pre-school education.
