Yunyan showcases its intangible cultural heritage

An exhibition and promotion activity for intangible cultural heritage was held in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Sept 17.

Yunyan is home to a total of 40 intangible cultural heritage items, including seven provincial-level items, 15 municipal-level items, and 18 district-level items.

At the event, 12 Yunyan intangible cultural heritage items were showcased, including chili chicken preparation techniques, crispy fried duck preparation techniques, batik skills, and paper cutting skills.

The activity was meant to explore and protect Chinese culture, promote tourism in Yunyan, and increase the excitement of travel in Yunyan.
