The culture, sports, radio, film and tourism bureau of Yunyan district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a meeting on April 16 to deploy tourism market rectification actions and offer fire safety training.

According to information from the meeting, the district will organize measures to clean up the tourism market from the beginning of April to the end of December. It will crack down on illegal operations in the tourism market, regulate the operations and promote the high-quality development of the cultural tourism industry.

Specifically, the district will conduct in-depth investigations into illegal operations and unlicensed travel agencies, punishing fraudulent behaviors such as nonstandard travel contracts and dishonest agreements.

In addition, departments such as the district's internet information office will clean up unreasonable low-cost travel information and false advertising to prevent tourists from being misled.

Yunyan will also investigate a number of illegally operating shops, travel agencies and tour guides in accordance with the law.

During the meeting, the bureau distributed fire safety posters and brochures to nearly 100 cultural and tourism enterprises. Professional fire safety training was also offered at the event.
