Yunyan holds walking event to celebrate the CPC's 100th anniversary

A walking event was held on April 23 at the Denggao Yunshan forest park in Yunyan district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The event saw the participation of more than 260 people and aimed to encourage residents to keep fit and healthy.

The annual event has been held six times. This year, it took on a special theme to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Displays showcasing Party history were set up along the walking route, helping participants to review the Party's history and achievements and encouraging them to learn from the spirit of Party members.

A series of celebration activities will be held in the district to mark the Party's 100th anniversary, according to an official from the culture, sports, radio, film and tourism bureau of Yunyan district.
