Yunyan to introduce more than 110 industrial projects in 2021

Yunyan district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, aims to introduce more than 110 industrial projects this year, according to local media reports.

According to the plan, in 2021, the newly introduced projects will have funding totaling 9.5 billion yuan ($1.45 billion), and more than 90 percent of the projects will start construction. More than 80 percent of the projects will go into operation by year-end.

The district expects to introduce more than 18 high-quality enterprises, more than five headquarter economy companies and more than 15 digital economy companies.

In terms of investment attraction, Yunyan pays much attention to optimization of the economic and industrial structure, innovation, input-output and quality benefits, according to a director of the district's investment promotion bureau.

Focus will be put on projects in nine areas, including commerce and trade, urban renewal, education and training, ecological agriculture, cultural tourism, smart manufacturing, modern finance, health and big data.

Yunyan district has established and perfected the support mechanism of major investment promotion projects and the visiting mechanism of key investment promotion enterprises to ensure effective investment promotion work.

The district has also made efforts to improve the preferential policy system for investment promotion and optimize the business environment, added the director.
