A "trans-provincial" government affairs handling agreement was recently signed between the government service center in Yunyan district of Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and the administrative examination and approval service bureau in Jimo district of Qingdao, in East China's Shandong province.

According to the agreement, the two districts will establish a trans-provincial cooperation mechanism for government services. They will set up special "trans-provincial administration" windows at their government service centers, with dedicated personnel providing services.

People in Yunyan and Jimo districts will be able to handle trans-provincial affairs in the two centers.

The signing of the agreement signifies that the two districts have taken new steps to innovate government service cooperation methods, strengthen government service reform, promote the handling of public service matters and explore the sharing of government information, according to a director at Yunyan's government service center.

This will improve the efficiency of government services and offer convenience, added the director.

The two sides will continue to expand service scope, enrich the handling methods and improve handling quality to further improve the trans-regional government service level and create a better business environment.
