1.19m trips made to Yunyan over National Day Holiday

Tourists made 1.19 million trips to Yunyan district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, over the eight-day combined holiday for National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. The statistic represents 84.48 percent of the tourist volume from the same period last year.

Meanwhile, revenue generated by tourism reached 1.80 billion yuan ($260.87 million), 74.48 percent of the total from the same period last year, according to a report in Guiyang Daily.

Before the holiday, Yunyan district held an autumn and winter tourism week to promote its tourism resources, contributing to the holiday's tourism market success.

To ensure the safety, stability, standardization and order of the district's cultural and tourism market during the holiday, Yunyan strengthened the supervision and inspection of cultural and tourism sites in its jurisdiction. The district also effectively implemented emergency management measures and safety protocols for local cultural and tourism enterprises.
