Yunyan big data system selected as demonstration project

Guiyang, capital of southwestern Guizhou province, recently announced the evaluation results of demonstration projects involved in smart governance and local communities -- with a State-owned asset big data supervision system in the city's Yunyan district selected as one of the 15 winning projects.

Yunyan's project adapts advanced technologies, such as big data, the internet of things and mobile applications.

These help the district's finance bureau optimize regulatory approaches and realize online supervision of State-owned companies, to guarantee the maintenance of value and the appreciation of State-owned assets.

The evaluation selected a series of municipal big data applications, which their developers said were contributing to the healthy development of Guiyang's big data industry.

Officials said the chosen projects will be promoted to improve the government's governance capacity and system, as well as upgrade community services.
