Yunyan, national railway giant cooperates on city development

A framework agreement on shantytown transformation in the Sanma area in Yunyan district has been signed between the district government and China Railway No 5 Engineering Group Co Ltd on Aug 31. 

Signing ceremony attendees included Wang Qian, Yunyan district head, Chen Guangsen, deputy general manager of the railway group, and Qi Yong, executive deputy governor of Yunyan. 

Located in the center of Guiyang's downtown area, Sanma is a high-value area in line with Guiyang and Yunyan's development strategy in both industrial and city modernization. The transformation project is significant for the Sanma area and signifies that the development of Sanma will enter a new stage, said Wang. 

He added that the railway group has provided great contributions to Yunyan, which will further optimize its business environment and offer higher services for the State-owned enterprise. The cooperation is expected to inject new vigor into Sanma's development. 

Covering a total land area of 335.04 mu (22.33 hectares), both parties will cooperate to develop an area of Sanma that has low efficient land use.
